Big Lute easily won his first start at Oaklawn Park on February 1st, 2013. The Steve Hobby trainee is owned by Alex and JoAnn Lieblong, and was a Keeneland sales graduate. He moved up to stakes company 18 days later when he stepped onto the Triple Crown trail in the Southwest Stakes (G3).
