A son of the 2003 Breeders’ Cup Turf winner Johar out of the stakes-winning mare Mujado, Joha captured his first stakes victory in the 2012 Colin Stakes at Woodbine. After the Colin Stakes, Joha was a game second-place finisher in the With Anticipation Stakes (G2) at Saratoga Race Course, where he was beaten by a head.
Joha nailed down his first career graded stakes win and cemented a spot in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) with a front-running victory in the Breeders' Futurity (G1) at Keeneland in October 2012.
