News Story

America’s Best Racing produced this special feature program "I'll Have Another - Charging Toward History" for the NBC Sports Network.

The day after "I'll Have Another - Charging Toward History" aired on NBC Sports Network, the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner suffered a tendon injury to his left front leg that forced him to miss the Belmont Stakes and ultimately led owner J. Paul Reddam and trainer Doug O'Neill to retire I'll Have Another. The press conference that details the announcement of I'll Have Another's injury and retirement follows the presentation of the feature program.

With unprecedented access to I’ll Have Another and Team O’Neill as well as the connections of other major challengers, including Dale Romans (Dullahan) and Michael Matz (Union Rags), America's Best Racing brought viewers deep into the inner world of horse racing, providing an unprecedented look at the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and the days and events leading up to the Belmont Stakes, which was expected to be I'll Have Another's bid to become the 12th U.S. Triple Crown winner until the tendon injury derailed his run at history.

The America’s Best Racing production team is led by the Eclipse Award-winning filmmakers the Hennegan Brothers and Emmy Award winning Executive Producer Ken Adelson. The America’s Best Racing feature I’ll Have Another – Charging Toward History, narrated by John Ortiz, is available below in full without commercial interruption.
