Only a few changes from the first Kentucky Derby Future Pool were seen on Sunday after the second Derby Pool closed with “All other 3-year-olds” named the overall favorite at 3-1 odds when betting ended. Once again, Verrazano was the individual favorite at odds of 9-1, down from 11-1 in the first pool. Vyjack made a huge jump after his win on Saturday, closing as the third overall choice at 11-1 after opening at 30-1 with Fountain of Youth winner Orb and undefeated Flashback following with 12-1 odds. Itsmyluckyday and Revolutionary rounded out the top five with closing odds of 13-1, holding steady at identical odds from the first pool. Last year’s champion 2-year-old Shanghai Bobby followed the top five individuals, ending the second pool at odds of 16-1 up from closing odds of 14-1 in February.
