The $1.5 million, Grade 1 Longines Kentucky Oaks is the marquee race each spring for elite 3-year-old fillies and this yeaar celebrates its 150th anniversary on May 3 at Churchill Downs. The best fillies in the division take their shot in the “run for the lilies,” with more than 100,000 fans expected to attend the 1 1/8-mile race, which has served as a springboard to stardom in recent years for top female racehorses such as Rags to Riches, Rachel Alexandra, Blind Luck, Untapable, Monomoy Girl, and Malathaat.
